Hello everyone! I know it has been quite some time since I have posted…I am sorry about that. I got caught up with life and tried to really enjoy some time off from work during the holidays. If you haven’t heard, I am on the Stay Crafty with A Blog Named Hero Design Team. I was previously on this team a few years ago and I had so much fun. I am thrilled to be back! On that note, I’d like to share one of my cards for this month’s “What’s Old Is New Again” challenge.
For this challenge, all you have to do is pair something old(er) with something new! It’s so simple and fun to bring out some old products that you might not have used for a while. For more information on how you can enter your card for a chance to win a Hero Arts gift card you, please visit the Hero Arts Blog here.
Step by Step:
- Cut a panel of white cardstock to 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 inches.
- Use the Two Tone Metallic Sprays to create a cosmic background.
- After the background is dry, blend white pigment ink through the Swirling Stars stencil.
- Using your hot foil machine, foil the butterfly and die cut using the Delicate Butterfly Die. You could also use a stamped butterfly image and heat emboss if you do not have a hot foil machine.
- Die cut Amazing from matte foil cardstock once and white cardstock 2 times. Adhere together for dimension.
- Stamp the secondary sentiment in black ink and trim to size.
- Arrange butterfly and sentiment elements on the cosmic background.
- Add sequins, gems, or baubles.
- Adhere finished panel onto a top folding Passion Flower card base.

Thanks you for visiting me today and I can’t wait to see what you create with this month’s challenge! Have a great day.
