Hello everyone! Today, I have some inspiration for you featuring Hero Arts and the Stay Crafty Challenge for February “Do you believe in love”? You can enter your project here for a chance to win a $50 gift card from Hero Arts!

I had a whole lot of fun with this card. I added various different elements to give it a lot of texture and interest. I tried playing with some color theory by choosing opposite colors on the color wheel. That is about the extent of my knowledge though!

Step by step:

  1. Cut a panel of heavy white cardstock to 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 inches.
  2. Spray Yellow and Fuchsia Metallic sprays onto the cardstock. Let dry.
  3. Use a stencil (I used the Stripy one from Hero) and blend Unicorn Pigment, Fawn, Raspberry Jam, and Mustard ink in different spots on the panel.
  4. Stamp the Honeycomb images on the panel using Spicy Mustard.
  5. Add Collage Background transfers… the more random the better!
  6. Stamp and die cut the florals and bee from the Sweet as Honey and Beelieve sets. Color using alcohol markers or your favorite medium.
  7. Die cut Coral cardstock with a heart die and stamp the sentiment.
  8. Arrange elements in the middle of the card using liquid glue and foam tape as needed.
  9. Add a few pearls around the die cut elements.
  10. Adhere the finished panel to a top folding card base.
