Hello crafty people! Today, Hero Arts has released their Holiday Catalog for 2023. It is filled with so much holiday goodness new and old. I’m sure you’d like to see some of the new items Hero has for you and I have you covered with some inspiration!

I love that these trees are very non-traditonal. Jewel tones for the win!

Step by Step:

  1. Use Metallic Sprays on heavy weight cardstock and let dry. I mixed different ones and used single colors.
  2. Cut the Tree Pattern Cover Die from white cardstock. *Bonus* You have extra white die cuts for another card or layer under colored trees for dimension.
  3. Die cut the trees from the sprayed cardstocks.
  4. Add the white tree panel to a top folding A2 card base.
  5. Inlay various colors of trees into the panel. I did add some of the white die cuts under the colored ones for a bit of dimension.
  6. Die cut yellow glitter cardstock with the cover die for sparkly stars. Inlay them into the white panel.
  7. Stamp the sentiment from Holiday Foliage Messages onto white cardstock with black ink.
  8. Die cut the sentiment with a circle die and select one size bigger to cut a black matte circle.
  9. Add foam tape behind the sentiment and add a little gold string/thread.
  10. Adhere sentiment to the card front.
These pinks and teals are perfection!

Step by Step:

  1. Cut a 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 inches panel of white cardstock.
  2. Die cut the Poinsettia Window out of the white panel.
  3. Using the coordinating stencils, ink blend your favorite colors. I used nontraditional pinks and teals for a fun look.
  4. Using an embossing pen, add silver details to the middle of the flowers and berries with silver embossing powder and heat set.
  5. Cut a panel of Azalea cardstock slightly smaller than 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 inches.
  6. Stamp Azalea ink onto the panel using Background Texture strips for a tone on tone look.
  7. Adhere the pink panel behind the poinsettias.
  8. Die cut Peace from the Peace, Love, Joy Looking Glass dies 3 times from white cardstock.
  9. Cut off extra cardstock so you only have the word peace. Adhere together.
  10. Cover sentiment in embossing ink and heat set with Silver embossing powder. You can do this multiple times for a metallic look. It’s very smooth!
  11. Adhere sentiment to the panel.
  12. For some added interest, place clear enamel dots on some of the berries.
  13. Add the finished panel to a top folding white card base.
This snowman is absolutely adorable!

Step by Step:

  1. Dry emboss a 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 inch top folding white card base with the Snowflake pattern hot foil plate. Trim the base to 4 by 5 1/4 inches.
  2. Hot foil the snowflakes onto a panel of Paradise cardstock. Trim panel to 3 by 4 1/4 inches.
  3. Adhere the paradise panel to the card base in a landscape orientation.
  4. Die cut the Peeking Snowman from white cardstock.
  5. Additional elements can be cut from colored or glittered cardstocks which I used. I also used Copics to add color and dimension.
  6. Add elements to the panel making sure the snowman peeks out from the side. The hat hangs off the card for a fun look but due to the trimmed base, it will fit into an A2 envelope easily.
  7. Stamp the sentiment from Holiday Foliage Messages in black pigment ink and heat set using clear embossing powder.
  8. Trim the sentiment to size and adhere to the hot foiled panel.
