I have a few inspirational cards for you today with COMPLETELY different looks. Occasionally, I get asked what my card “style” is and I can never answer with one word…I just like to make whatever inspires me! These cards are definitely an example of that.

MMH August Classic Kit:

Bold colors and a soft background. Simplicity at its best.
  1. Die cut soft gray cardstock using the trees die from the kit. Be sure to measure so you will have enough cardstock to cover the bottom base.
  2. Adhere the trees to a top folding A2 white card base.
  3. Using various colors of cardstock, die cut the mountains. You can go big and bold, ombre, or subtle…you decide!
  4. Glue the mountains together offsetting them a bit for variety. Die cut the mountains using a circle (or any other shaped) die.
  5. Add the mountains to the card base using liquid glue.
  6. Cut strips of paper in the same colors as the mountains and adhere to the bottom. My strips were about 1/8 inch.
  7. Stamp the sentiment in black ink onto white cardstock and adhere offset to the mountains.

MMH August Classic/Premium Kit:

Woodsy, earthy, and masculine.
  1. Cut a panel of Sand cardstock to 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 inches.
  2. Die cut the trees from white cardstock. This will be used as a “stencil”. Apply some temporary adhesive to the back.
  3. Add the trees to the sand panel towards the top. Ink blend soft olive ink over the trees. Remove the stencil and continue ink blending over the trees with darker inks each time. This produces some depth without any bulk.
  4. Adhere your “stencil” to the bottom of the panel. Because you ink blended using it, they are already colored and it adds a little dimension to your card! BONUS!
  5. Using the metallic spray, add some spatter. This spray is available in the premium kit but you may have this at home or you could use any other sprays or Perfect Pearls.
  6. Trim the panel down to 4 by 5 1/4 inches. Add to a side folding Palm cardstock base.
  7. Stamp your sentiment on sand cardstock with embossing ink and heat set with Brass embossing powder. The embossing powder is also available in the Premium kit but you could use what you have on hand or just plain inks.
  8. Matte the sentiment with the same green Palm cardstock and adhere to the top middle of the panel.

MMH August Premium Kit:

Simple coloring with some bold stripes.
  1. Cut a panel of white cardstock to 4 1/4 to 5 1/2 inches.
  2. Stamp your sentiment in black ink on the right side of the card. Be sure to leave enough room below the sentiment for white space and a few strips of cardstock.
  3. Use black alcohol marker friendly ink to stamp the poppy flower next to the sentiment. Make a simple mask (I used a post it note) of the flower so you are able to stamp another flower.
  4. Add as many flowers as you’d like. I added some leaves and flowers around my black stamped images with a light ink to add interest.
  5. Color the flowers using your favorite medium. I used Copic markers in YG95, G99, R08, YR07, YR16, Y15, and C9.
  6. Cut 1/4 inch strips of black and green cardstock and add below the sentiment.
  7. Stamp, die cut, and color the small flowers the same as the larger ones and adhere over the strips.
  8. Trim down the finished panel to 4 by 5 1/4 inches and add to an A2 sand card base.
