Hello friends! Today, Simon Says Stamp is having a fun Instagram hop to celebrate their two newest releases: Smitten and Sweetheart. I have an inspirational card to show you featuring products from each release.

My first card features products from the “Smitten” release and also one of my favorite techniques…Eclipse. I adore everything about this card so I hope you do too!

Such a cool effect!

Step by Step:

  1. Cut a white panel of cardstock to 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 inches.
  2. Using the “Hearts in a Heart” stencils, blend various colors of ink onto the center of the white panel.
  3. Add texture to the panel using Concord & 9th “Stitched Hearts Card Front” die.
  4. Die cut the panel using the outline and lined “Love You” Die. Make sure you save all of your pieces!
  5. Cut the outline from blue violet cardstock 3 times and the lined love you from the same violet cardstock 3 times.
  6. Add white panel to a top folding purple card base with liquid adhesive.
  7. Working layer by layer, add violet cardstock and then white panel elements to build dimension for the outline and word parts of the die.
  8. Add a secondary sentiment using the “Reverse All the Love” sentiment strips. Using foam tape helps to raise it above the dimensional Love You.
  9. A little sparkle with sequins was added as a final touch.

My next card from the “Sweetheart” release features a fun rainbow light bulb slimline card. And I found the perfect sentiments to go with it!

A bright and encouraging card!

Step by Step:

  1. Cut a panel of white cardstock to 3 1/4 by 8 1/4 inches.
  2. Die cut the “Love Bulb” from pastel cardstocks 3 times for each bulb. Adhere bulbs and hearts together for dimension.
  3. Using similar ink colors to the cardstocks, add ink to the white panel for a “glowing” effect.
  4. Apply light bulbs and hearts to the card.
  5. Add the sentiment using Reverse Happy sentiment strips. I applied them slightly off for a fun look.
  6. Cut a panel of black cardstock to matte the bulb panel. This helps make the card pop and ties the black in from the sentiments.
  7. Add finished card front to a white slimline card base (3 1/2 by 8 1/2 inches).
