Hello friends! Today, I am participating in an Instagram Hop to celebrate Simon Says Stamp’s newest release “Just a note“. If you would like to view more inspiration from this release, you can view it here.
I used a little bit of everything on this card: embossing folder, stencil, ink blending, and die cutting. Therefore, it made for a very visually interesting card that I think you’ll like. Let’s get right into it!
Step by Step Instructions:
- Using a 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 inch panel of white cardstock, blend various Distress Oxide inks in rainbow colors over the Mix and Match Squares stencil.
- Lightly dust Perfect Pearl powder over inked areas for a beautiful sheen.
- Add the inked panel into the Vines embossing folder and run through your die cutting machine.
- Die cut the large butterfly from the Graceful Butterfly Emboss and Cut set from white cardstock and acetate.
- Emboss the acetate and white cardstock butterfly.
- Add Sike Lunar Paste to the raised areas on the white cardstock butterfly. Let dry and add the acetate layer (only add glue to the middle).
- Die cut the body of the butterfly from black cardstock and adhere it to the middle.
- Add a few small squares of foam to the back and glue in the center to adhere it onto the background panel. The foam adds a little lift to the wings.
- Cut Just a note 2 times from black cardstock and stack for dimension. Add to the panel just under the butterfly.
- Finally, adhere the finished panel to an A2 top folding card base.
I love all the textures of this card. Have you ever added multiple techniques and/or textures to your cards?
