Hello crafty friends! Today Simon Says Stamp (SSS) has their newest release “Just A Note” If you haven’t see it yet, you can view it here.

I have a few crafty ideas you can use with just a few of the items from this release. Let’s take a look at the card I made using “The Write Stuff” and “Just A Note” die.

Cute, simple and clean!
  1. Cut a 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 inch panel of white cardstock and use a score board to add lines at every 1/2 inch. *You will have one side that has a slightly larger space. Use this as the top of your “paper”.
  2. Use a ruler and Copic marker to add horizontal lines in the scored marks.
  3. Add a red line vertically to make the rest of your paper! It has some fun texture to it.
  4. Stamp and color the pencil from “The Write Stuff”. I very easily fussy cut my image.
  5. Die cut “Just a note” from black cardstock and adhere it using liquid glue in the bottom right corner. For added dimension, you can cut it multiple times and stack it like I did.
  6. Using black ink, stamp the pencil dashed lines.
  7. Add the pencil to the panel using liquid glue. For added dimension, I adhered a few scraps of white cardstock behind the pencil.
  8. Adhere the finished panel to an A2 white card base.

Next up, I used the same “The Write Stuff” stamp set to make some easy and fun bookmarks for the upcoming school year.

I used up a bit of scrap cardstock and pattern papers for these bookmarks. The added cardstock provided stability.
  1. I cut various pattern papers to 1 3/4 by 6 inches. I either directly stamped on the paper (Rainbow) or added the paper to heavy weight cardstock scraps.
  2. Rainbow book mark: Due to the beautiful paper, this bookmark required NO COLORING. I added a sentiment with embossing ink and white embossing powder. The corners were rounded, a hole punched, and a simple coordinating ribbon was added to the top.
  3. You are so SHARP: I stamped, colored and fussy cut the pencil and added heart confetti. The sentiment was stamped with black ink on a small scrap of cardstock and added over the pencil. Of course I had to add a little rainbow ribbon to the top.

Thanks for joining me today. Have a great day!
